Accessibility

A lot of the people who need us are recovering from a serious injury. Making this site usable is not an afterthought here, and if any part of it is a problem for you, we want to hear about it.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act for public-facing websites, and it is the target we build and review against.

What this site does

  • Works without a mouse. Every link, button, form field and menu is reachable and operable by keyboard, in a logical order, with a visible focus outline.
  • Works with a screen reader. Semantic headings, labelled form fields, described links and buttons, and alternative text on meaningful images. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology rather than read aloud.
  • Respects reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the entrance animations and scroll effects are turned off entirely.
  • Meets contrast requirements. Body text and interface elements are checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Reflows and zooms. The layout adapts down to a small phone and remains usable at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
  • Degrades gracefully. If JavaScript fails or is blocked, the content is still visible, the pages still read, and the forms still submit.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than pretend they do not exist:

  • The testimonial carousel advances on its own. It pauses on hover, focus and touch, but there is no explicit stop control yet.
  • Some long legal pages are dense and have no plain-language summary. The Disclosures page is our attempt at one, and the glossary defines the terms.
  • The site is currently English-only in writing. Spanish is available by phone.

These are on the list. If one of them is blocking you today, call or text us and a person will do it with you over the phone.

Other ways to reach us

You never have to use this website to work with us. Every single thing on it can be done by phone instead: asking questions, applying, reviewing terms, and signing.

  • Phone or text: (323) 366-8083 — Monday–Friday 8am–8pm PST · Saturday/Sunday 9am–5pm PST. Texts are usually answered within minutes during those hours.
  • Email: info@helloworldfunding.com
  • Spanish: hablamos español. Ask for a Spanish-speaking specialist.
  • Documents can be sent in large print or read aloud to you on request, at no cost.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site does not work with your assistive technology, is hard to read, or traps your keyboard, email info@helloworldfunding.com with the subject line "Accessibility" or call (323) 366-8083. Tell us the page and what happened. We will confirm we received it, tell you what we are doing about it, and give you the information you were after another way in the meantime.

Your case takes time. Your bills don't wait.

Apply in about two minutes. We contact your attorney, review the case, and if you're approved you can have funds the same day. No credit check, no monthly payments, and if you lose, you owe us nothing.
