Hello World Funding is a DBA (assumed name) of Hello World Homes LLC. Funding agreements are written in the name of Hello World Homes LLC. If a document you are asked to sign shows an entity name you do not recognize, stop and call us at (323) 366-8083 before signing anything.
What we provide is non-recourse consumer legal funding: the purchase of a portion of the proceeds you may receive from your pending legal claim. It is not a loan, a line of credit, or any other extension of credit.

You will see the words loan, lawsuit loan, settlement loan, borrow and cash advance used on this website and throughout this industry. They appear because those are the terms people use when searching for this product, and because they are familiar shorthand. They are used for plain-language comprehension only and do not change the non-recourse nature of what we do. We are not a lender and we do not make loans.
All funding is subject to underwriting review, the cooperation of your attorney, applicable law, and a signed written agreement. Nothing on this website is an offer, a commitment, or a pre-approval to fund.
Amounts and terms depend entirely on the facts of your case, including liability, documented injuries and treatment, available insurance coverage, the stage and venue of the claim, and any existing liens or prior advances. We cannot and do not guarantee that any application will be approved, or approved for any particular amount.
Timing statements on this site — including references to a decision in about 24 hours or funding on the day you sign — describe typical outcomes for approved applicants once we have received the necessary documents from your attorney's office. They are typical, not guaranteed. The most common cause of delay is documents that have not yet arrived from a law firm.
We fund only claims where the applicant is represented by an attorney handling the matter on a contingency-fee basis. We cannot advance funds on an unrepresented claim.
We request case documents only with your written authorization. Providing those documents to us for the purpose of evaluating a funding request is not intended to and does not waive the attorney-client privilege or the work-product doctrine.
Hello World Funding provides funding only. We do not control, direct, influence or participate in the handling of your claim, the choice of counsel, litigation strategy, case valuation, or the decision whether and when to settle. Those decisions belong entirely to you and your attorney.
We do not contact defendants, defense counsel or insurers about your claim. We do not pay referral fees to attorneys, and we do not accept them.
We do not refer you to a lawyer. We will not name a specific attorney, law firm, or anyone who works at one, and we have no referral arrangement with any firm. If you are not represented, we can point you at an independent lawyer referral service run by your state or county bar association, and nothing more. California's consumer legal funding statute prohibits a funding company from referring a customer to a specific attorney or firm, and we apply that rule everywhere, not only in California.
Legal funding costs more than conventional borrowing, and it reduces the amount you ultimately take home from your recovery. That is the trade you are making, and you should make it deliberately.
Before you sign anything, you will receive a written agreement stating the amount advanced and the amount that will be owed at settlement, in plain language. Read it. Ask us about anything you do not understand. Show it to your attorney. If a charge in that agreement was never explained to you, do not sign it — and that advice applies to any funding company, not only to us.
Every agreement we write includes a cancellation period during which you may return the funds and owe nothing further. The exact number of days appears on the first page of your agreement. Several states require this by law; we apply it in every state.
Consumer legal funding is regulated at the state level and the rules differ substantially from one state to the next. Some states impose registration, disclosure, rate or contract requirements; in some states the product is restricted or unavailable altogether.
We do not fund where it is prohibited, and where a state imposes specific requirements our agreements are written to meet them. Tell us where you live when you apply and we will tell you plainly whether we can help. If we cannot, we will try to point you toward someone who can.

Brokers, lead sellers and outright scammers sometimes use funding companies' names to collect applications and personal information. We will never ask you to pay a fee, buy a gift card, wire money, or send any payment in order to release funds to you. Anyone who does is not us.
